This post title only seemed right given the checks are playing Wellington this weekend. By next weekend we’ll be in Auckland, half way through recording two singles at the Lab Recording Studio. We’re currently in pre-production mode, working hard with the very talented Steve Gallagher to extract every last bit of juice and goodness from our chosen songs before we translate that across to tape (or to hard drive, but that doesn’t sound as cool now does it). We’re working harder than ever before, and soon you’ll be able to hear the result.
A huge thanks to everyone who packed the shit out of the Cavern Club on Friday night. It was amazing to be able to play to you all. If you like what you heard then we’re opening for the very talented Artisan Guns this Friday night at Bar Bodega. They’re accompanied by Lisa Crawley (from opening for John Mayer fame).
See you soon

We’re pleased to announce our first show for the winter! ‘Mercury Crowe presents: Champagne & Future Fame’ is all about sharing some of our new singles with you before we head into the studio to record them next month.
A lazy $10 will get you in the door, and if you come down before 10pm you’ll get a free glass of champagne to ignite your party flame! The kind folks at the Cavern Club will also be offering $5 beers and $6 Whiskey/ Vodkas to keep you vibing all night.
Hope you’re looking forward to it as much as we are!

Just a quick note to let you know what Mercury Crowe have been up to lately. You may have noticed a lack of shows lately, particularly in Wellington and Auckland. This is because we’ve been hard at work on new songs which will blow your mind.
Our goal in the forthcoming months is to record an release two singles accompanied by videos. We’re currently in the process of finding a producer, the right studio and a film production company.
We’re more excited than a 14 year old meeting Justin Beiber at the Airport, working hard and can’t wait to share these tunes with you. Stay in touch, and keep checking the website / facebook. We’ve got some big shows planned for the middle of the year.
Peace

Many thanks to everyone who braved the cold last night at the Botanic Gardens gig. The clouds disappeared and the wind stopped blowing just as things kicked off, it’s as close to summer as Wellington will get!
We had an absolute blast up on stage, and will have a few videos of it online in the coming future…
And if you feel like camping out under the stars, come on up to the Organic River Festival in Levin on Jan 30th, we will be there party-ing up a storm.
AND, we are also opening for Little Bushman Feb 28th in Lower Hutt. It’s outside the Dowse gallery, really looking forward to that one. But more to come later…
